Stewed pork ribs

Ingredients

400 g pork ribs
2 tbsp Dark vinegar
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp Light soy sauce
1tbsp Dark soy sauce
5g Garlic
5g Ginger
2 tsp Corn flour
2 tbsp Corn oil/ Sunflower oil
½ tsp Red wine (optional)
Pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and marinate for a minimum of 40 minutes.
  2. Place in a Steaming dish and steam for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from steamer and place in a large pot on a medium heat and stew for 5 minutes. Wait until the pork releases some of its natural juices. If after 5 minutes it is still a little dry mix 1 tsp of corn flour with ½ tsp red wine to create a paste and add this to the pot. Or simply just pour in the wine.
  4. Add 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce.

 

Serve with: Rice etc.

Good for: Most conditions and body types.

Bad for: those with high cholesterol.

These ingredients can also be steamed as long as prior to being marinated the ribs are chopped into 1 inch pieces.
