People are growingly becoming aware of how important it is to eat healthily. Eating the right foods not only benefits us physically, by giving our bodies what they need to function properly, but also enables us to feel good about ourselves.
Unfortunately, with modern life's fast pace lifestyle it isn’t always easy to find the time to prepare food that is good for us; and restaurant food – while it can taste good – is not always good for our health. However, with the recipes that i recommend in this section, healthy food that tastes good may only be 20 minutes away!
Most of the recipes in this section take less than 15 minutes to make. The dressing for our marinated recipes will even keep the ingredients fresh for a few days if you do not have time to cook them immediately.
All of them use fresh but easy to find ingredients and can be served on their own or alongside most, if not any, additions.
Some of the recipes specify which conditions that they will benefit, particularly in reference to Chinese Medicine. There are even a few decoction based soups that are truly wonderful for their health boost and they even taste pretty good too!
The other recipes are suitable for all body types and provide the body with the right nutrients in order for us to improve our health boost our energy and, when eaten regularly, will boost the immune system enough to help prevent further illnesses
The recipes are arranged as following:
Some general but suitable suggestions to serve with each dish could be: Asparagus, watercress, mange tout, celeriac, carrots, cucumber & green beans (see side dishes for alternatives).
Each vegetable should be steamed, stir fried or boiled (care should be taken when boiling as over cooking will cause the vegetables to loose many nutrients.)
