Traditonal Chinese Exercises like Tai Chi and Qi Gong are integral part of Chinese Medicine and can be used as both a preventative measure against ill-health and as part of a treatment regime to cure sickness and disease.

Tai Chi Chuan, or taijiquan, is an ancient Chinese form of co-ordinated body movements focusing on the cultivation of internal energy "chi" or "qi". Its aim is to harmonise the mind, body and spirit, promoting both mental and physical well-being through softness and relaxation.

Qigong combines meditation, breathing and physical exercises in static postures and slow and fast rhythmical movements. Qigong activates the body's internal energy system to promote the circulation of body fluids, energy and blood. This may lead to an increased feeling of vitality in the healthy and promote healing in the sick.

Taijiquan and Gongfu are traditional Chinese martial arts, often practised to promote musculo-skeletal and internal strength and to improve dexterity and overall well-being.
