Memory Loss - Chinese Medicine explanation and treatment

When memory loss is caused by serious brain damage, nothing can be done, but if it is the result of age, stress or tiredness after illness, it can be treated by a Chinese Medicine practitioner with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. The Chinese herbal medicine would tonify the kidneys and strengthen qi and blood, as well as opening the channels to release nourishment to the brain. Chinese wolfberry, Chinese fleece-flower root and black ginger seeds can be used. Acupuncture is quite important in this treatment and auricular acupressure can be utilised with great effect. Tiny needles are placed in the ears and taped inplace for several days, without the wearer being aware of them. These can strengthen the kidneys and nourish the brain.
