Beetroot

Beetroot is sweet and cold in nature. Beetroot nourishes the blood and clears heat from the body. It is best to eat beetroot raw or boiled fresh ones.. However even pickled beetroot can be useful sometimes, especially as it is very cooling and softening for fire in the body which can help with dispersing tumours, boils, abscesses etc If there is no fire condition in the body, pickled beetroot will be too damp and it is best to avoid.
