Garlic

Garlic is pungent and warm in nature. Garlic has an anti-bacterial action and is suitable for patients who wish to prevent chest infections and digestive infections. . In the early stages of cold/flu garlic can stop the virus and support the immune system. Raw garlic if eaten can help reduce cholesterol and improve blood circulation, elasticate arteries and so preventing arteriosclerosis. If you eat too much garlic, it overstimulates the immune system which can make allergies worse. Cooked garlic will lose most of its healthy properties. Cooked garlic becomes sweet in nature and will produce dampness and phlegm in the body. Overstimulation of the immune system will not be suitable for people who suffer from cancer, diabetes and immune system disorders.
