Bupleurum - Chai Hu (Radix Bupleuri)

[Source] Chai Hu - the dried root or the herb of the Perennial herbaceous plant, Bulpleurum chinense Dc. or B. scorzonerifolium Willd., family Umbelliferae.

[Function] Chai Hu regulates the functional relationship between the internal organs to relieve fever, disperse stagnated liver-qi and lift yang-qi.

[Application] Chai Hu is used to release wind-heat, lower fever, regulate liver-qi and alleviate depression. Chai Hu can be used to treat prolapse due to deficiency of qi, such as prolapse of rectum, uterus or stomach.
