Sweet Wormwood - Qiang Huo (Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii)

[Source] Qiang Huo - dried rhizomes and roots of the perennial herbaceous plant, Rhizome of Notopterygium incisun Ting ex H.T. Chang or the Rhizome and the root N. forbesii Boiss, family Umbelliferae.

[Function] Qiang Huo expels wind and dampness and dispels cold to alleviate pain.

[Application] Qiang Huo is used for joint pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, especially in the upper part of the body and is also used for headache of the wind-damp type.
