Primordial Qi (Yuan Qi)
Primordial-qi, also called primary qi is the most essential qi in the
body and the vital foundation of life. Primordial qi is mainly generated
from the kidney-qi of the parents during pregnancy. The power and quantity
of primordial qi is therefore fixed at birth. Primordial qi contributes
to the general functions of qi, such as propelling, warming, protecting,
fixating transforming, etc.
