Diploma in Maternity Acupuncture

For the past three years Asante Academy has been running a full time maternity acupuncture services within the NHS. We are now offering a training course in Maternity acupuncture which will include a three day placement within NHS hospitals.

This four day training course will be open to all qualified acupuncturists and will consist of three days of lectures at Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine, followed by one day of clinical training.

The course will cover all aspects of Maternity acupuncture, including: TCM theory on the physiology and pathology of the female body, TCM theory of pregancy, TCM theory on birth preparation, labour, treatment of complications in pregnancy including breeches etc, treatment of morning sickness, back pain, and TCM post-natal care including depression, breastfeeding problems, weight problems, sleeping problems etc

All three lectures will take place at Asante Academy on Sundays. Clinical training will take place during the week on days agreed with each student.

This unique and comprehensive course will be taught by Professor Ke and his team of experienced TCM doctors, and will run every three months.

On completion of the course, all students will undergo a written examination. Successful students will receive a Diploma in Maternity Acupuncture.

This course runs frequently throughout the year as and when a minimum number of students enrol. Once we have sufficient numbers of students who have paid a deposit we then schedule a timetable to start the course. Class numbers are small (between 5 and 7) and so we are able to accommodate students needs regarding timetabling as much as possible.

The cost of the course is £800 with a 10% discount if paid in full in advance.

Once we have enough people committed to doing the course we will then contact you to arrange suitable dates. If you are unable to attend the next course for whatever reason, your deposit will be instantly refundable. Alternatively your deposit can also used for the next course after that one.
