As well as providing an excellent service to NHS patients, this clinic also provides Asanté and Middlesex University students with another unique opportunity to experience treating people from a wide variety of backgrounds in a testing and challenging clinical setting. |

A new Acupuncture Pain Clinic has been set up at North Middlesex Hospital which is run by Asante
doctors and students to offer NHS patients with chronic pain the chance
to receive acupuncture. Patients are referred to the clinic by North
Middlesex Pain Consultants and the service is paid for by the NHS.
This is another example of Asante in parnership with the NHS providing
integrated services using both conventional and complementary medicine
to offer patients a greater range of healthcare.The Pain clinic sees
up to 20 patients a week, treating everything from chronic back pain
and migraine to arthritic and musculo-skeletal problems.
