Dr. Tiejun Tang MD Phd TCM

Dr Tang began studying Chinese Medicine in 1979 and graduated in 1984 with a BSc in TCM from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine (http://www.hljucm.net). After that he worked as an assistant in the Xijing Hospital of The Fourth Military Medical University (http://en.fmmu.sn.cn). After five years clinical work and teaching in that famous hospital, Dr Tang continued his studies at The First Military Medical University (http://www.fimmu.com/english) where he gained his Masters degree in 1992. After three years clinical and teaching work in that university Dr Tang continue his studying for doctorate in Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (http://www.gzhtcm.edu.cn), under the tutelage of world famous professor Deng Tietao and got his PhD of TCM in 1998. Then Dr. Tang spent two years on his postdoctoral research at Department of Pathophysiology of the Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences (http://www.sysu.edu.cn/en). His research focused on the mechanisms of Chinese herbs for improving myocardial ischemia.
Dr Tang was a very successful TCM practitioner in China. He was vice-professor in the TCM department of First Military Medical University from 2000. He has published over 40 theses and book.
Dr Tang has experience treating many problems, but has particular expertise in gastro-intestinal disease and cardio-vascular conditions like coronary heart disease, angina, hypertension and arteriosclerosis. He is an expert in Chinese herbal medicine, and proficient in acupuncture and Tuina massage techniques. He joined Asante in 2005.
