BBC World Service comes to Asante BBC's World Service came to Asante today to interview
Professor Ke about Chinese Herbal Medicine and its relationship with
the Modern Pharmaceutical industry. Reporter Rebecca Marston from the
World Service's Business Programme quizzed Professor Ke about various
herbs and the ways in which they were used and processed. She also asked
for his views on how the demand for Chinese Medicine has grown over
recent years and what he made of the fact that big drug companies were
buying into centuries old traditions that they seemed to have previously
rejected quite firmly. The interview will form part of an item to be
broadcast early in the new year.
